Description

Circle Orboros Celestial Fulcrum Battle Engine for Privateer Press Hordes

Made from FIMO, brown stuff and Aves Apoxie Sculpt Superfine White.

The center sphere was made by wrapping a flat sheet of Aves around a ping pong ball and rolling it until it cured. I then cut it in half since I only needed to make one half. We then cast it in resin for the other side.

The small spheres were made the same way, but by wrapping putty around ball bearings.

The logs holding the spheres onto the main machine were made in brown stuff then cast in metal so I only had to make one. Using castings of similar parts really speeds up the sculpting process.

The Druids were sculpted by Edgar Ramos

Concept art by Roberto Cirillo

There is something that makes your work unique here. We can buy and put them togehter. And i have one Fulcrum on my hobby table right now. You are really a perfectionist. Even painting all this runes is a work of hours but this is no comparison to cutting every single one of the whole surface. I tryed to do that on my own modifications, an it takes a view hours only for a hand full of this runes.

I don't know who got the idea do make one part of the basic rings on white metall. but i'm really glad for this decission. So i didn'd use normal bolts so secure, i screwd him. One to the center Orb, one to the base Plate. No, it wasn't neccesary but hey i have machine screw tabs for M3 and you can do that on white metall.

To be honest: if you didn't wrote that the center orb is made of two similar sides i'm really not sure if i had found that out.
